Before you begin

This is a route directory: use it to reach a focused puzzle guide when you are stuck. Keep a separate recovery save before a boss or ending commitment, and inspect new inventory items before returning to a puzzle.

Areas are not chapter numbers. Misery Town, Timesville and the Office should not be labeled Chapters 2 and 3 just because a walkthrough presents them later. The community ending guide ↗ describes preparing all three areas in Chapter I.

Key items that are easy to confuse

The Core Key opens the normal Office chain and comes from the water-cooler puzzle. The Old/Lost Key comes from the completed fish collection and is used on the hidden window lock. They are separate items with separate requirements.

The Metal Detector is a prerequisite for finding both the Fishing Paper and the Projector Remote. If you are in the theater without it, follow the Timesville detector setup first. Finding the remote does not finish its hidden route: record the projection and continue into the checkerboard room.

Prepare the secret route

Before finishing the area routes, use the Secrets guide to check the three hidden encounters. The Ending C requirements distinguish owning an item from completing its encounter.

Keep a recovery save rather than assuming an earlier room will remain accessible. This directory does not establish which late-game saves can recover every missed interaction.

Choose an ending

Open the endings overview for the available routes. If you are pursuing the hidden route, compare your three completed landmarks with the final Ending C checks before committing to the usual ending door.

For achievement cleanup, consult the achievement guide and boss outcomes. Plan mutually exclusive choices around separate saves instead of assuming every outcome fits one run.
